I had some free time last weekend and decided to learn how to use a tracker to compose music, since it's something I do for fun. Initially I was using OpenMPT, however after a few internet queries I found FamiTracker, a program for writing NES/FamiComp music. Since the NES was my first game console as a kid, and 8-bit music/chiptunes are the greatest, as a project I decided to write the galaxy map song in FamiTracker using the VRC6 expansion chip since the song is equally great.
The Ending might seem to just cut off, but that is because I arranged the song to seamlessly loop.
Anyway, I thought this song was a worthy youtube upload, so I spent a bit of time and made a GIF of what a NES-like galaxy map might look like for nostalgia's sake.
